Eleanor Rockell BA(Hons) MSc MBACP
I hold a Masters of Science degree in the Psychodynamics of Human Development from The University of London & The BPF (The British Psychotherapy Foundation). I am a full member of The BACP (The British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists), and have passed their certificate of proficiency. I adhere to the BACP & UKCP (The United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) guidelines and code of ethics .
I have spent over four years working as a psychotherapist for the NHS, I have now run my own private practice for fourteen years.
I have had my own extensive experience of individual psychoanalytic psychotherapy as well as counselling. I am engaged in Continuing Professional Development and have ongoing supervision.
Therapeutic Approach
The model of psychotherapy and counselling I offer is based on psychoanalytic, attachment based and existential theory and principles. I am influenced by the works of Jung, Freud, Klein, Bion, Winnicott, Bowlby and Yalom. My most guiding principle is to develop a therapeutic technique that meets the specific needs of the client.
I work together with the client in a process of exploration within a professional relationship. We will analyse your current circumstances, and try to establish patterns of thinking, patterns of behaviour and possibly links to the past which influence and affect you.
I have extensive experience of working with clients with all sorts of problems and issues, as well as those who feel they are stuck and would like to make changes in their lives. I aim to enable you to enhance your life and live it in a satisfying and fulfilling way.
